Confirmed facts
The organisers announce Boom Festival 2027 for 18–25 July 2027 at Boomland by the Idanha-a-Nova reservoir. It marks thirty years since the first Boom in 1997.
Why it matters
Boom connects two scales of Portuguese history: a small early-1990s forest-party network and an international community spanning dozens of countries. It began at Herdade do Zambujal in Setúbal, moved to Idanha-a-Nova in 2002, to the present shore in 2010 and acquired Boomland in 2016.
What you hear
The Dance Temple holds the psychedelic-trance lineage while other areas move through psytechno, downtempo, organic music, talks, art and wellbeing. Describing today’s Boom as only a psytrance festival is no longer accurate.
