Shadowband

A shadow band is the dark ripple that runs across the ground in the seconds before a total eclipse. It is not solid, it photographs badly, and people who have seen one do not forget it. This is called Shadowband for the same reason.

WHAT IT IS
One person, machines, and all the time in the world
Long sessions built live on synthesisers and hardware. Slow sound, binaural beats underneath, recorded in one take, no editing and no cuts. There is no running order, no guests, no topic of the week.
Whoever turns up can say where the waveform goes — lower, slower, wider — and it goes there. Whoever does not turn up hears the result afterwards. Both are fine; the second is more likely, and there is nothing wrong with it.
One thing stays out: nothing here is sold on the idea that this treats anything. Alongside this page sits the whole documentary record, including the parts that spoil the story.

Movement without arrival: long arpeggios, filters opening slowly, the same figure for forty minutes.

Almost nothing happening, deliberately. It is the hardest to make and the one people put back on.

The one that borrows the documents' vocabulary: focus levels, layers, pink noise over the top. The vocabulary is borrowed; the claims do not come with it.
HOW IT WORKS
