Studios and labels

The British contribution was not one school: producers, designers, labels and promoters gave the sound international infrastructure.

Records and compilations helped stabilise names and repertoires while party culture retained links with techno, ambient, dub and acid house.

This record is a doorway. The archive would rather declare a gap and invite contribution than fill space with generalisations.
